Community Cast #307 – Green Orbs

CyberKnight, MossFly, and Devastator bring this week’s gaming news. Ubisoft releases Rainbow Six: Siege for another free weekend, plus betas for For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Pokémon Sun and Moon sell very well, and so has the NES Classic. Nintendo Online’s subscription price will be much less than Microsoft’s and Sony’s. Square Enix puts Deus Ex development on hold to deal with the Marvel game. Phil Spencer promises Phantom Dust HD’s launch before E3. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have a single-player campaign. Plus a bunch of backwards compatible games, Games with Gold, shout outs, and more!

CyberKnight and Mossfly start off the new year with a quiet week. Ahead of CES, Lenovo announces the first of a new batch of VR headsets to work with the Microsoft Holographic platform. Overwatch brings some more free content with a brand new map, and the RoadHog character gets a nerf. Tomb Raider’s lead story writer leaves the franchise. The Assassin’s Creed movie manages to buck the trend of video game movies by not sucking.

CyberKnight and MossFly recap the news for the week before Christmas. The Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list gets even larger this week. Super Mario Run is eating up a lot of data for a mobile game. Microsoft kicks off their end-of-year sale on the Xbox Marketplace. Nintendo Switch will throttle its graphic power by more than half out of the dock. Games with Gold for January are revealed.
